It's also the same gar- bage throwing about from the box car crews. They throw it in the woods as well. I guess there is no pick-up for them to use. where others do. In- stead he cuts it in this same wooded area. Be- tween the trees being cut down and garbage being pitched, 'soon Another issue is that there will be just one person on Birch another polluted area. does not see fit to cut J. An Introductory Clinic, presented by the Ontario Arena's Association is scheduled for Saturday morning November 24th. This clinic inclludes off-ice and on-ice clinics and train- ing sessions covering games, rules, refereeing, etc., to introduce the game. of Ringette to all involved. We expect teams from some towns who do not now have a Ringette club and with the information obtained from attending the Jamboree, these par- ticipants will be able to form their own club when they return to their own communities. Games are scheduled one per hour on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to noon with a skills session prior to each game. ; Teams will be selected at random from team lists submitted, and will include experienced as well as novice players. On Saturday when the girls are not involved in Ringette, they will par- ticipate as a team_in the following activities: novel- ty Bowling, Video Game Challenges, Weight Room usage for off-ice fitness ex- ercises. Two meals provid- ed are Saturday Supper and Sunday Lunch. After lunch Sunday, awards will be presented and each partici- pant will receive participa- tion awards. To date, we have a con- firmed attendance of at least 100 out of town girls. Where will we put them? We have been advertising continually our need for homes, to assist us by ac- cepting a billet (or billets) for Friday and Saturday nights November 23 and 24th. To date, we have . received enough response to billet less than half of these girls, and the jam- boree is only four weeks away! Our "urgently need- ed" status is upgraded to "desperate." Please, if you can offer your home for two nights accomoda- anytime, 3280 after 5:00 tions and provide two p.m. or the Recreation Of- breakfasts, please call 9085 fice at 3542.
