Mom and Me pro- vides an opportunity for mothers to discuss their joys and concerns of parenthood. A teacher organizes different activities each week and mothers assist in supervising. Pre- schoolers benefit from a refreshing and stimu- lating play period. Toddlers enter Mom and Me as self-centered individuals who have little interaction with the other children. Very quickly, within a few sessions, they pro- gressively _ participate more in group play. Eventually they are right in there doing the actions to the songs and games to the best of their ability. Preschool _ children learn how to take in- structions from a teach- er or another adult and this gives the children confidence 'that they might need to make the sometimes difficult transition to jr. kinder- garten.
