Would you like to have a Derby again this summer? It is important that the person named for possible appointment has indicated a willingness to serve in that capacity before his or her name is submitted to the Chairman. The persons appointed should have an active interest in promoting awareness Gnd understanding of mentat health issues and to assist the Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital in identifying and responding to the mental health care needs of the communities it serves by: - recommending an sat pi role for the hospital in the context of the needs and concerns identified; - reviewing hospital programs to determine their appropriateness in the context of the defined role and the needs and concerns of the community; - advising the hospital and the Minister of Health on hospital an mental health issues in the area served. The above-mentioned Advisory Board meets approximately ten times a year and is composed of twelve people, the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and ten Board members.
