St. Patrick's Day Tea The luck of. the Irish shone on the St. Pat- rick's Day Tea held last Saturday afternoon at Birchwood Terrace. With a breath of spring in the air, many friends came out to en- joy the tea with the residents of Birchwood Terrace. Mrs. Peggy Thompson convened the Auxiliary event, and the door prize was won by Sharon Legall. Two very delectable St. Patrick's Day cakes were drawn for by Mrs. Susan Gaulin of Birch- wood and were won by Cheryl Fowler and Mrs. Thompson. Thanks go out to all those who supported us in this endeavour in any way. Girl Guides to host Annual Day 1984 Superior Division will be hosting the Voya- geur Area Annual meet- ing and conference in Terrace Bay on Sep- tember 14th and 15th in 1984. Approximately 17S Guiders and Ad- ministrative women (all dressed in blue and white) from Voyageur Area (Sault Ste. Marie to Manitoba border), will be gathering here to spend an informative weekend together. The purpose of the weekend is for the Guid- ers to share ideas, learn new skills and make new friends, and to return to their Districts to share this knowledge with the Brownie, Guide, Path- finder, Ranger, and Cadet Units in their communities. The two co-hostess communities - Terrace Bay (Aguasabon Dist- rict) and Schreiber (Whitesand District) have accepted the res- ponsibility of this large undertaking, and are looking to the people of Terrace Bay and Schrei- ber to make our guests welcome. We are fortunate to have this dynamic speaker for a week as his busy schedule usually allows only one night per town.
