Sports sb, by THE PROPHET Tournament Results: Atoms Invitational at Longlac, Feb. 18 and 19: The boys played in four games and although they didn't make it to the finals they played very well in all games. By all reports from play- ers, coaches, and pa- rents it was a long but enjoyable weekend. Our thanks to Claude Bol- duc for his assistance in transporting the team. Bantams North Shore at Manitouwadge, Feb. 18 and 19: This was their best weekend of the year as they won two out of three games and lost the third one to Marathon by only one goal. The highlight game was with Schreiber who jumped into a 3-0 lead on!v to have Terrace bounce back and win by a 6-4 score. Bantams' North Shore at Schreiber Feb. 25 and 26: The momen- tum built up at Mani- touwadge failed to last into a second weekend as the team dropped all three games. Midgets North Shore at Schreiber, Feb. 28: This was a single game to decide third place in the final North Shore Standings. This world has seen too many wars, of much too many kinds; And strategists who think with the minds of minds. We need to stop these wars, they are so cruel and useless. Schreiber 16 points Committee to advise on health services Advising the Health Ministry on the recruit- ment of professionals to work in the province's underserviced areas, and liaison with local district health councils, will be major funtions of the Underserviced Area Advisory Committee, named recently by Health Minister Keith Norton. * Committee members are: Rene Brunelle of Moon Beam, former Mpp and Minister of Natural Resources; Helen Kelleher, Soult Ste. Marie; Dr. Hough Allen, Sioux Lookout; and Graham Pope, Timmins. The programme which was started in 1969, now has more than 380 doc- tors and 94 dentists participating. It offers financial incentives to encourage health pro- fessionals to extablish or join practices in the underserviced areas. It has also extablished nursing stations in communities which are isolated or have small pupulations, as well as dental clinics and a mobile dental coach programme. "Til be okay. The Bantams and Midgets play this com- ing weekend in Mara- thon and Terrace Bay respectively. Local hock- ey fans are encouraged to come out and support the local Midget team this weekend.
