Crusader Programme - "It's better to build than to mend" Often young people say, "I would like to do some good in the world. But with so many res- Terrace Bay-Schreiber News, Wednesday, September 7, 1983, page 5 ponsibilities at home and school, my nose is always to the grind- stone and there is no chance for my life to mean anything."' This is a common and dangerous error. In helpfulness to others, every one can find on his own doorstep adven- tures for the soul -. our surest source of true peace and lifelong satis- faction. To know this happiness, one does not have to neglect duties or do spectacular things. Without such spirit- ual adventures people today walk in darkness. In the pressure of modern society we tend to lose our individual- ity and become stifled. Our young people lose direction and purpose and turn to drugs, alco- hol and numerous other things which destroy their young lives. These lives need to be "mend- ed."' The motto of the Cru- sader program which Terrace Bay Gospel As- sembly will commence this fall is "It is better to build than to mend."' Crusaders is a program that emphasizes the building up of boys and girls into solid indivi- duals. This program for children 7 to 14 years of age is an exciting pro- gram that develops children spiritually, so- cially, physically and mentally. New trails to adventure, fun and fel- lowship captivate their interest and attention. Crusaders believe that by developing Christian character, im- parting Bible know- ledge, developing lead- ership abilities and in- terest in various skills, and providing whole- some recreational acti- vities that the lives of boys and girls will, be built and so influenced that in future years any "'mending" won't be necessary. If you would like to see your child as a part of this great program please call Terrace Bay Gospel Assembly at 825- 9368 or watch your- community news for the registration date. 1/7 CLIMBING THE Early Split Divided Berlin ironically start- ed out divided in the 13th century.
