To qualify to participate in this programe, individuals must be residents of Canada who were veterans and who were granted entitlement for a war related disability from the Canada Pension Commission. Qualifying veter- ans, who are in need, will be provided with NORTHERN AFFAIRS 'The Aging Veteran's Programme" financial assistance to cover costs related to home care and or community care services. 'Home care services includes costs for professional health care, the preparation of meals, house- cleaning, ground keeping (including chores that are necessary and incidental to the maintenance of a home), care at day centres and home modifications to assist the handicapped. If care in community facilities are required, the Dept. of Veterans Affairs will provide assistance in arranging for this care through existing nursing homes or other appropriate facilities.
