If you're inter- ested give us a holler over here at yer Schreiber Recreation Office. : CROSS-COUNTRY SKI SURVIVAL WORKSHOP: Have you ever been in a situation when cross-country #iing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, where something has broke on the equipment or there is a sprained ankle, broken limb(s) or torn ligaments? If you have or have not, Schreiber Parks and Rec- - reation in co-operation with the Ontario Provincial Police, Ministry of Natural Resources, and Terrace Bay Medical Staff are holding a three hour evening workshop on survival. Areas to be covered are hypothermia, sprains, breaks, shelters, supplies: to carry etc; there will be pass out materials and films. The cost is one dollar per person. BEAVER COLONY: The Beaver Colony is going strong, all the boys have their uniforms now and well balanced program is underway. CRAFTS PROGRAM: Thursday, Feb. 22 was the first evening for this program. The participants seem eager to learn and to enjoy themselves. This program will run every Thursday until the end of May at the Public School (Art Room) from 7 to 9 p.m. The instruct- resses, Donna Mikeluk and Mrs. Darlene Bjorklund will be offer- ing crafts such as macrame, crocheting, knitting, needlepoint - among other different crafts. If any girl or boy from 8 to 14 years old who is interested, you can still register at the rec- reation office. If anyone is willing to instruct, supervise or assist the instructors please feel free to attend the program on Thursdays.
