This is always a popular event. Enquiries were made about the Bingo Machine purchased for the Home, and is being used both by the Home and visits from the local Kinettes. The Moose have hosted the residents to one of their Bingo nights at their Lodge and provided transportation. They plan to continue this on a monthly basis. 3 Mina Mahoney also announced that the New Horizons Group had received their grant which will enable them to set up both a greenhouse and shops. y A St. Patrick's Day Tea was scheduled for Saturday, March 17 at 2 p.m. and an Autumn Tea in September with Games Nights in January, April and October. 4Assistance will be given at the Christmas Party in December. Ken MacLeod read over the list of items submitted for grant assistance for the Auxiliary's Audio-Visual project and moneys retained for the purchase of additional tapes, etc. The Pres- ident thanked Ken for his diligent work in guiding this project from its inception and expressed appreciation for his valuable contribution to the Auxiliary, wishing him well in his new home and job in Ear Falls. Mrs. Winters thanked the Auxiliary for the lovely poinsetta she had received while hospitalized over Christmas. The 'next meeting will be held on Friday, February 9 at 2 pm. FIGURE SKATING NEWS Due to a typographical error | would like to point out that in last week's issue the following names were omitted: Susan Smith ard Cathy Graham won a Bronze medal in the Juv- enile Ladies Dance Pairs. This medal was won at. the North Shore Inter=Club Competition held in Manitouwadge on January 20th. A very successful Test Day was held here on Saturday, Janu- ary 271. Many parents were in attendance to see the following skaters pass their tests. The results are as follows: Preliminary Figure: Jennifer Glad, Mark Saranpaa, Ricky Costa. Second Figure: Nancy Gerlach. Third Figure: Heather Saranpaa Jr. Bronze Free Skating: Carrie Pytych. Dutch Waltz: Kelly Moore, Tammy Trach, Cathy Graham. Swings Susan Smith, Laurie Pollard. Canasta: Karen Brassard, Kelly Moore, Kara Klassen, Laurie Pollard, Cathy Graham. Congratulations Skaters, we are all very proud of you. Due to the Canadian Champions in Thunder Bay this coming weekend, the schedule at the arena here is as follows: Friday, 4:15 = 6:15 as usual = No lessons. Saturday, 1:45 - 3:00 Skating, No lessons. skaters. Sunday Morning: Cancelled. 7:15 as usual. Possible no lessons.
