Everyone examinations, fillings and x-rays, GORDON: Funeral Services for Mr. George (Pont) Gordon, age 68 who passed away in hospital on Monday, January 8th, 1979 were conducted in St. Andrew's United Church, Schreiber on Wednesday, January 10th, by Rev. Brian Bigelow. Hon. Jack Stokes gave the Eulogy, soloist was Mrs. Eva Gordon, who sang "How Great Thou Art", other hymns chosen were "The Lord is My Shepherd", "In The Garden, "Beside the Cross". Ushers were Pat McKenna and Teny Figlioemni. Honorary Pallbearers were Bill D'Arcy, Reg Bailey, Russ Macadam, John Spillane, Pidge Weaver and Pat Guina. Active Pallbearers were Jack Gordon, Norman Lemieux, Vic Costa, Andy Miller, Bob Weaver and Clyde Gordon. Mr. Gordon was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He. was a former Conductor with the C.P.R., retiring in 1975, he was a member of the Oddfellows and a Board Member of St. Andrew's United Church. Survived by his wife Myrtle, daughter Glorie, (Mrs. W. Miller) Terrace Bay and son Clayton of Schreiber. = Also survived by his grandchildren Rhonda and Gordon Miller; brothers Alex of Schreiber and Dr. John Gordon of Minneapolis, Minn.
