The club, which is concerned with facilit- ies for senior citizens, plans to use the grant for such pro- jects as a workshop for the men, a new greenhouse and a sewing machine for the craft room. The New Horizons Program, developed in 1972 by the Federal Department of Health and Welfare for senior citizens, is design -ed to allow retired people an opportunity to share their interests, skills and talents in developing and carrying out projects of their own choosing. The projects are possible through grants to groups of retired people who will undertake activities for the benefit of themselves and others in the communi ty. 4 Pictured are Blanche Speck, secretary and Cliff Riley, President.
