The secretary gave a resume of the proceedings in negotiat- ing with the CPR to obtain ownership of the water system. After much corresponding and meetings, the Rossport Water Association has now obtained the registered deeds to this strip of Tand. It was noted that the Association is also incorporat- ed without shares and the corporate articles are also register- ed. Four about two years the Association has been endeavouring to obtain a grant to finance a new pipe line and dam. It was reported that the Association has been sponsoring activities in the village to raise funds. For the benefit of new water subscribers it was announced that all water fees are to be paid on a yearly basis whether the water is used a month or twelve. Also that all subscribers to the new water system will have to sign an agreement before hooking up to the system, and unless all accounts are paid up in full a subscriber will not be eligible to hook up to the system.
