PAGE 10 TERRACE B AY NEWS OCTOBER 18, 1978 BOAG - MCCANNA VOWS EXCHANGED \ In a double ring ceremony, Deborah Lynn McCanna and John Michael Boag were united in marriage by Rev. L. Kersey at St. Paul The Apostle Anglican Church in Caledonia on August 19th. The church was decorated with garden flowers. The Bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey McCanna of Schreiber and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Boag of Caledonia, Ont. The Bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white Jersey gown with a train; long sleeves; applique at the neck and at the wrists. Her veil was waist length and she carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations. Darlene Fummerton of Schreiber was bridesmaid wore a floor length whitq floral gown and white hat with a hand bouquet of red roses and white carnations. Robert Wilson of Niagara on the Lake was Best Man. groom's brother Mark was usher. The Bride's mother wore a floor length gown of beige Jersey with a corsage of Red Roses. The groom's mother wore a floor length floral gown in green with white rose wrist corsage. The reception was held in the Lion's Club Hall in Caledonia The bride and groom left on a honeymoon to Peterborough for a week. On returning they will reside in Waterloo where the groom is a student and where the bride is employed. Out of town guests included the bride's parents and brother Jeff and relatives and friends from Montreal, Niagara on the Lake, Hamilton, Kitchener, Toronto and velerion. The C:W.L. ANNUAL CHRISTMAS BAZAAR The regular monthly meeting of Holy Angels C.W.L. was held Sunday, October 8th in the Parish Centre with Vice President, Mrs. Marjorie Spacek presiding. The annual Christmas bazaar will be held on December 9th in the town hall as the previously announced date of November 25th was already spoken for, Sister Marvel, Church Life Convener, stated a junior choir and senior choir have been formed. The rosary is being said daily in the church at 7 p.m. % A reception is being planned for the. Bishop after confi mation on October 22nd in the Parish Centre. Five members attended the Regional meeting in Marathon, September 25th. The Brownies will soon be starting with Pat Kinney as Brown Owl, Donna LaBranche as Tawny Owl and Sharon McParland as helper. A file cabinet has been purchased by the league. Mrs. Rena Ross is looking for volunteers to clean the Parish Centre on October 15th and 16th. Mrs. Cathy Lemieux is to order a wreath for the November 11th service at the cenotaph. Father H. Bartafski spoke on the possibility of having a mission in early December. Mrs. D. Costa's name was drawn for the jack pot but as she was not present the amount will be carried over to the next meeting. Mp. Norm Norris, Recreation Director, was guest speaker and spoke on recreation and where it is today in Schreiber. Lunch was served at the close of the meeting. SCHREIBER PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE MINOR HOCKEY ELECTS EXECUTIVE: On Tuesday, October 10th the old executive passed the reins over to the incoming body. The 1978-79 executive consists of Pat Halonen, President; Darlene Fummerton, Vice-President; Secretary, Alice Miller; Treasurer, Ed Borutski; Board of Directors consists of Rick Harty, Earl Welbourne, Ron Blais, Jimmy Duggan and Dom Figliomeni. CONFEDERATION COLLEGE PROGRAMS: The Law and You and the 0i1 Painting Workshop had to be cancelled because of no interest, similarly for English as a second language. "The credit course Accounting 104 Sieniad on Monday, Octo- ber 16th. Mineralogy and Organic Gardening are schedule for the end of October. Upholstery will start on Monday, November 6th. Cake Decorating (Advanced) - We have been notified that there will be an advanced cake decorating program in Schreiber on November 24th, 25th, 26th, under the instruction of Ann Mow- bray.
