JULY 19, 1978 TERRACE BAY NEWS ; : PAGE 23 bv) TODAYS CHILD BY HELEN ALLEN THE TORONTO SUN SYNDICATE Gary is 11, French Canadian and Indian in descent, slim, lithe and healthy Desperately anxious to have a family of his own, Gary constantly asks his social worker when she will find adopting parents for him. He tries hard to please adults and is well liked by his foster parents and teachers. He responds well to praise and encouragement and accepts discipline cheerfully. A With his own age group Gary's relations are not so harmonious, though he is trying. He competes with others for attention from grown-ups and is sometimes overly aggressive in body contact sports. Gary is outgoing, friendly and talkative. In school (Grade 4 last year) he did better verbally than in writing, with an overall rating as "fair". Art is probably his favorite subject. Gary has much love to give to parents who will give him a great deal of attention and will help him to believe he is very special in their lives. To inquire about adopting Gary, please write to Today's Child, Ministry of Community and Social Ser- vices, Box 888, Station K, Toronto M4P 2H2. In your letter iv something of your present family and your way of life. For general information about adoption contact your local Children's Aid Society.
