Junior gardeners were provided with a selection of seeds and their gardens will be inspected each month. Rose growers may be interested to hear that our Society is now a member of the Canadian Rose Society with access to advice and information for them. The Home Beautification Contest will again be sponsored by Kimberly Clark with a generous donation of prize money. Homes are judged on overall appearance of the entire property as well as arrangement of shrubs, flowers and vegetable gardens. Judging will be completed by August 14th. This year the members premium consisted of gladioli bulbs. A thank you from the Committee to all willing canvassers who sold memberships.
