PAGE 4 TERRACE BAY NEWS MAY 17, 1978 \ 25 YEARS AGO - MAY 14, 1953 AROUND THE TOWN: Hugh and Hilda Brophy with Don Whitley and Tommy Williscrofi were at the Lakehead last weekend to attend the wedding of Jack Todd and Sheila Brophy on Saturday. With the arrival of Germaine and Austin McMillan's son last Saturday, there are now four generations of the family resid- ing.in Terrace Bay, Germaine's Mother is Mrs. Art LeBlanc and living with Mrs. LeBlanc is her Mother, Mrs. J.A. Plourde. 20 YEARS AGO - MAY 15, 1958 The Improvement District of Terrace Bay have a large pro- gran of work scheduled for this summer. The Kimberly-Clark Company also will do a lot of work|in the town. The munici=- pality plan on brushing out the area across from the shopping centre and brushing west of the Recreation Centre has begun. A water line will be installed to the cemetery, catch basins and storm sewers will be installed on Kenogani Road. Some hydrants to be moved and raised. Curbing and paving contracts will be let. Landscaping of boulevards and the Shopping Centre are planned. A house will be built for the school staff. The Company have a full summer program scheduled, from painting 75 to 100-houses as well as the hotel and hos- pital, to landscaping some company buildings . 15 YEARS AGO - MAY 16, 1963 Miss Judith Lynn Thomas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Thomas of Terrace Bay became the bride of James N.
