GYMNASTIC MEET: Billy Bolduc, Stephen Speziale, Jim Winters, Bob Dye, The Northshore Secondary School Athletic Association held a gymnastic meet at Lake Superior High School, Terrace Bay Campus, on April 22nd. Participating schools were Chapleau, Mani touwadge, Wawa, Marathon, Nipigon-Red Rock and Lake Super- ior High. Students were tested for their skill on parellel bars, uneven bars, balance beam, horizontal bar, rings, tram- poline; vaulting and floor exereises. Chapleau won the team championship, scoring 197 points, with Nip-Rock placing second at 41 points. Six individual winners were chosen for outstanding achieve- fants, Continued page 2 .... (==) (HOSPTALTOTES U.P.I.U. LOCAL 665 CONTRIBUTE $10,000 TO HOSPITAL BUILDING FUND. On Tuesday, .May 9th at the Regular Board Meeting of th: Hospital the United Paperworkers International Union - local 665 presented a cheque of $10,000 to the McCausland Hospital Building Fund. Mrs. Jan McEwen, Chairman of the Board of Governors, 'received the cheque which was presented by Mr. G. Chumey. (Pictures of the presentation were taken which shall be in a Tater issue). ' of This contribution from local 665 will furnish the Chronic Care Complex in the new hospital. This complex consists of two rooms. One room contains 4 beds and can be partitioned - into units of 2 and 2 beds or 3 and 1 bed. The second room (next to the 4 bed ward) contains 2 beds. ; Both rooms will be suitably inscribed as being the gift _ of the United Paperworkers International Union = Local 665.
