PAGE 18 TERRACE BAY. NEWS MAY 10, 1978 TERRACE BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT 1-7 May During the past week members of the Terrace Bay Police Force investigated the following matters. Twelve traffic tickets were issued under the Highway Traffic Act. One motor vehicle collision was investigated resulting in property damage of approximately $400.00. One fatal industrial accident is under investigation by the Force. One report of theft of money from a residence and two counts of willful damage have been reported. : Two domestic disputes were attended by members of the force. One impaired driver was arrested and a quantity of liquor seized. ; One mental patient was taken to the Thunder Bay hospital. Police have patrolled 1,518 km of streets in an effort to eliminate the noisy operation of moto cross motorcycles in the Township. LEGION AUXILIARY: Continued After consideration of the many local events during May, it was agreed to notify the Salvation Army that their canvas for funds - a long time successful project of the Auxiliary, would be carried out in late May or early June. Hostesses for the June meeting will be Jackie Imbeault, Earline Johnson, Bea McCuaig and Helen LeBlanc. Rena Ross the treasurer, gave a unique report - no bills outstanding and the secretary's report was accepted as read. JANICE MARTIN HONOURED AT _SHOWER-TEA Janice Martin, whose marriage to Randy Bolan takes place on May 6th, was honoured at a community shower-tea on April 29th in St. Andrew's Church Hall in Schreiber. Receiving with Janice were her mother, Mrs. lvan Martin; Carol Kennedy, her bridesmaid; and Mrs. Tom Bolan, grand- mother of her fiance. : ; Mrs. Kay Gellert was the table hostess and the servitors were Cathy Mulligan, Judy Davis, Lynn Comier, Betty Ann McKenna and | rene Bergeron. Hiller, Fran Nesbitt, Audrey McKay and Earline Johnson. The many beautiful gifts were opened for display by Mary Jo Ryan, Cindy McKay, Donna Gellert and Jolene Zaporzan.
