A donation of $200.00 was approved to the Minor Hockey As- sociation to defray the costs of a dinner during the Midget Hockey playdowns in Terrace Bay. The 1978 Road Maintenance and Construction program for sub sidizable roads in the amount of $39,000.00 was adopted. The Cancer Sociefy was given permission to canvas the town. An inquiry re a playground area in lot 276 Kenogami Road has been referred to the Recreation Committee. Council agreed to revising their previous resolution re the airport and include the development of aenew access road fron Hwy 17, left turn lane, taxiway, aireraft parking area, public parking area, electrical supply, teminal building, meteorological equipment, unicom radio, 4,000 ft. runway in- cluding lighting. The estimated cost to be $500,000.00. Council requests the Ministry of Transportation and Communica= tions subsidy of 807 of the cost of all items except that portion of the runway exceeding 3,500 ft. on which subsidy will be 50%. This was followed by an amusing skit about "short people" put on by tne afternoon ladies. Curlers were really hopping on Saturday night after four Faster rabbits arrived. The previous night was bright with the green of St. Patrick.
