Following the secretary's report, Director of Ac- tivities, Mina Mahoney, corrected her statement, saying two talking books had been donated to the Home by the Terrace Bay PubTic Library and the residents were currently enjoying jal nat, Treasurer Ken Macleod gave the financial statement to date and Sick and Visiting Convenor Estelle Wallwin reported five cards going to hospitalized residents during February, The Games Night scheduled for April 6th was given special attention. Th President offered to convene the coffee hour following. Competitions in whist, cribbage; bridge and shuffld . board will offer cash prizes, but other resident preferences would be considered as well. Outside entries would be accept- ed until April &th. Beth MacAdam offered to contact Schreiber members with regard to the May 6th Bake Sale, 'and the Terrace Bay members would be contacted by Gertrude Cotton, Estelle Wallwin and Donna Josus. The walks with residents had been postponed due to incle- ment weather and icy conditions, but hopefully would be "initiated shortly. The volunteer service was discussed and is proving of considerable assistance to staff and residents." Mrs. Dorland suggested new residents might be greeted by a few Auxiliary members shortly after arrival apd a small tea held to welcome them to their new home. Mina Mahoney readily agreed. Mrs. Dorland expressed appreciation to Peggy Thompson and her assistants for holding the Carnival Tea and to Gertrude Cotton for initiating the monthly newsletter. Ken Macleod answered the members questions on the progress with the Audio-Visual project. He still requires one promised (pledge in writing before application for a grant.
