MAY 18, 1977 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 17 SCHREIBER RECREATION NEWS The Schreiber Recreation Office is now open with Linda Fraser as the Co-ordinator and Ann Bailey as the Secretary. The Schrei- ber Recreation Committee members are: Bill Collinson (Chairman), Lorraine Huard, Doris Gauthier, Marlene Doig, Tom Quinton, Pete Speziale, Norman Boone, Kevin O'Brien, Don Davey and Reg Bailey. TENNIS: Since tennis has become so popular in the last year and our facility limits the amount of people wanting to play we will have a Ten- . nis Court Supervisor (Jim Wilson) to schedule playing times fairly for members. The schedule for the use of the courts from Monday to Friday is: 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. =- June 6 to end of the school year; 9:15 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. - end of school to August 26th. The schedule will be available at the Recreation Office or phone 824-2317 to sign up for play- ing time. The, last day to register for a tennis mem- bership is June 3rd. Hopefully, tennis clinics and tournaments "will be held throughout the summer for members. SWIMMING: The swim programme begins July 4th' this summer and runs for seven weeks. Lessons will again be held at White Sand Lake and bus ser- vice. will be provided from beside the Schrei- " ber Legion. The lessons are for children aged five and over. Instructors for the swim program are Myrna > Gauthier, Donna Gellert, Cindy McKay, Barb Huard, Linda Fraser and the Leaders are Anna Racioppi and Tina Redins. : Registration Day will take place Friday, +4 June 17th, in the basement of the Town Hall between the hours of 2:30 - 4:30 and 7:00 - © 8:30. Early registrations will be accepted at the Recreation Office. PLAYGROUND: . ; Anne Stokes and Betty McKenna are the play- ground leaders this summer. Starting July 4, the children will participate in outdoor ex- periences, hikes, picnics, swimming, sports, games and arts and crafts from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. = 4:00 p.m. The" play -ground will be held at Lake Superior High School and run for seven weeks.
