DECEMBER 1, 1976 TERRACE BAY NEWS \ Va FOR EXPERIENCE AND GOOD MANAGEMENT VOTE GINO CACCAMO HYDRO COMMISSION FOR A RIDE TO THE POLLS: PHONE 824-2695 ELECTION FEVER For the first time in some years Schreiber is caught up in a fever of election excitement. It is quite likely the vote cast this year will] | at least &gunal the one several years ago when Schreiber topped Ontario, percentage-wise, in the number of ballots cast. ™ To add to the excitement, new blood has en- tered the arena - Kevin O'Brien, Norman Boon, Cosimo Pellegrino, and Alex Krystia, inexper- ienced politically, but surprisingly aware of municipal business. They are running against formér councillors Joe Caccamo. Norman McCuaig, Robert Krause and Joe King. Tom Quinton, former councillor, is opposing the reeve, Harold McParland, for that position. For the Hydro Board, with two required, E.G. Caccamo, Hobden Spikula and F.V. Harness are running. By Acclamation, Michael Reid was elected to the Lake Superior Board of Education Separate School, Alex Gordon to the Lake Superior Board of Education Public School and Yvan Beauparlant to the North of Superior Roman Catholic School Board. Since the only position on which Schreiber has ever been in total agreement (so fas as is recorded or remembered) is support of the local hockey team, then it can be imagined the discussions taking place on town affairs. Can the citizens of Schreiber afford to build a new arena? Can we afford to build a new community hal |? Can we afford to help pay for the proposed new hospital in Terrace Bay? Can we afford to build a senior citizen apartment? Can we afford to sub-divide some land for new housing starts? We can't afford not to do these things. Now is the time to start working towards these objectives! THINK POSITIVE! VOTE POSITIVE! FOR TOWN COUNCIL VOTE HOBDEN SPIKULA FOR YOUR HYDRO COMMISSION Phone 824-2358 for a ride to the polls.
