PAGE 10 TERRACE BAY NEWS DECEMBER 1, % TERRACE BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT The Terrace Bay Police investigated a total of .eighteen occurrences during the week of Nov- ember 20th to 28th. On November 20th, a Toronto resident was charged with switching licence plates and hav- ing no insurance for an automobile. Later the same evening two local residents were charg ~ --ed with liquor infractions. On November 21st, police delivered one com- passionate message and issued one parking tag. On November 23rd, police were called to in- vestigate a MVC that occurred in the parking lot of the Red Dog Inn. Later the same evening police were called to investigate a MVC fail to remain that occurred at the intersection of Highway 17 and the Red Dog Inn. On the morning of November 25th, Sheila's Coffee Shop reported a break, enter and theft. Police investigation has resulted in all proper- .ty being recovered and a local resident being charged with this offence. Police also inves- tigated two motor vehicle collisions and a re- ported assault that occurred at the Red Dog Inn. November 26th saw police issue welfare to one stranded person, investigate one offence of theft under $200. and removed a intoxicated per -son from a local business establishment: November 27th saw police investigate one oc- currence under the HTA, one under the LIA and one local resident was charged with impaired driving. COURT NEWS: Thursday, November 25th - Leonard Billows was found guilty of posses- sion of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and fined $350.00. Paul Bourrie was found guilty of impaired driving and fined $250.00. : Nelson Lapenee was found guilty of impaired driving and fined "$175.00. Friday, November 26th - Craig Heibert was found guilty of break, enter and theft and sentenced" to eighteen months probation and ordered to make restitution. Floyd Caldwell was found guilty of break, enter and theft, guilty of public mischeif and was sentenced to twelve months in a correction- al institution. IT'S YOUR DUTY TO RECREATION DEPT. WEEKLY REPORT ELS PER NORTH SHORE MINOR HOCKEY GAMES SCHEDULED FOR THIS SUNDAY : At the time'of this write-up, the Terrace Bay Minor Hockey Association was informed ten- tatively that the first North Shore scheduled} game for Terrace Bay would be this" Sunday, December 5th. Visitors for that day will be the Manitouwadge Peewees and Bantams. * Game times are as follows: 1:00 p.m. Major Peewees; 2:35 p.m. Bantams. TERRACE BAY MIDGETS INVOLVED IN PLAYOFF FOR WRIGLEY TOURNAMENT: A two-game totalled-goal playoff between the Terrace Bay Midgets and the Manitouwadge Mid- gets was held on Monday and Tuesday, November 29th and 30th respectively. Results of this playoff were not available at the time of this write-up.
