Volunteer knitters are required by the tuck shop and wool can be obtained by Sentacsing R. Wills or M. Gander. ge The 1976-77 membership drive is presently under way. Marj Steven from Terrace Bay, Vi Drexler from Terrace Bay, Flora Bryson from Schreiber and D. Henderson from Rossport are in charge of the drives in their respective towns. The fee is $2.00 and all monies go to the Hospital Building Fund or towards purchase of new equipment for the Hospital. Mrs. A.S. Gordon, of Schreiber and Aini Anderson of Terrace Bay are in charge of the "In Memoriam" cards for The McCausland Hospit- al. Phone Mrs. Gordon at 824-2046 or Mrs. Anderson at 825-3895. The next meeting of the Auxiliary is to be held on Monday, November 15th at the Libra- ry of St. Martin School in Terrace Bay. All members are welcome. ; LEGION 223 PLAN "POPPY SALE" The St. John Ambulance Brigade will be can- vassing the mill area during the "Poppy Sale" for Remembrance Day. Y. Rochon will convene the Poppy Sale for the town and will be call- ing on members to help with this campaign. M. Pluta and S. Caron will head the nomina- ting committee. Elections for office takes place on November 29th. The next meeting will be held on November 29th. The executive meets at 7:30 and the gen- eral meeting at 8:00 p.m. COMING EVENTS: Talent night and dance on Sat- urday, November 6th, talent 8 to 10:30 Puls, dance til 1 a.m. Advance tickets are now on sale to Legion members until October 30th. CHANGE IN SKATING CLUBS GRANT The Lake Superior Board of Education held their meeting No. 12/76 on Monday, October 18 at the Marathon High School Library. The Minutes of Meeting No. 11/76 held on September 20, 1976 and of Meeting No. 45 of the Trainable Retarded Children's Advisory Committee held on October 5, 1976 were acknow- ledged as received. ' It was decided that the Trainable Retarded School in Marathon would henceforth be refer- red to as the Caroline McMorland School in all matters. Mrs. Estelle Gobeil has been appointed by the Marathon and District Association for the Mentally Retarded to the Advisory Committee for the Caroline McMorland School, effective October 14, 1976. The Minutes of the Early School Leaving Com -mittee Meeting held October 4, 1976 were ac- knowledged as received. The Minutes of The French Yanyuage Advisory Committee Meeting held September 23, were acknowledged as received.
