CHIMO SENIOR CITIZENS CLUB Helen Wallace, acting president for the Chimo Club (Rossport, Schreiber and Terrace Bay) opened the regular meeting on October 22, welcoming George Riley of Mount Forrest as a guest. ' Inez McCuaig took the chair for the election of new officers: Helen Wallace, president; Norman McCuaig, vice president; Cyril Sparkes, 2nd vice president:three year term; Bill Gerow, trustee; Bern Jacomb, New Horizons secretary; W.T. (Nim) Wallace, treasurer; Beatrice McCuaig agreed to act as 'secretary again. Mrs. Wallace, who'd been acting as president following the death of George Birch, ~ thanked the members for the honour paid her and congra- tulated the others elected. She used a gavel, the gift of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 109, asking that a thank you note be sent to them. Cyril Sparkes' reported that book shelves are ready to be installed ih the Club, when renova- tions are completed. , The craft room, upstairs, is presently being repaired and renovated. New drapes are ready for the Club Room and Some painting will be done. Red Rock and Nipigon will be invited to at- tend the Nov. 19 general meeting (To pg. 14) CHILDRENS' ART PROGRAMME Terrace Bay Art Club Terrace Bay Recreation ~ Co-Sponsored by: : Department Course Content: Beginners basic course in charcoal media When: 5 week programme commenc- ing on Saturday November 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon in the Large Meeting Room of Recreation Centre. Who: Age 8 to Grade 8. Participants must be a member of the Terrace Bay Recreation Association. Cost: $5.00 per registrant which includes instruction and all supplies. . Instructors: Marg Pederson Gertrude Boyd How to Register: Anyone interested must register by making payment to the Recreation Office during Office hours. Deadline date for register- ing is 5:00 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 3rd. Maximum Enrol Iment: Maximum number to be registered is 15 on a first come, first served basis. Minimum of 10 must register to ensure operation of course.
