SCHOOL NEWS CROSS COUNTRY: : On October 14th the Lake Superior High School Cross Country team "The Superior Streak -ers" competed in the annual NSSSAA cross coun -try meet, at Marathon. Lake Superior placed third out of the six schools cdmpeting. VOLLEYBALL: On October 16th our Volleyball teams tra- velled to Manitouwadge to participate in the annual invitational tournament. TERRACE BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT During the week of October 10th to 17th Police investigated 34 occurences within the Township. : During the week three charges under the Highway Traffic Act and five charges under the Liquor License Act, were laid. On Monday, October 11 Police acted as inter- mediary for a dispute between two construction workers, the result that both parties returned to camp. Later the same day a constable on patrol discovered a break and enter at the fire hall. Early on October 12 a break and enter eas re- ported at the Red Dog Inn. Police investiga- tion into these two offences has resulted in three Terrace Bay men being charged. Early in the evening of October 12, 1976 a routine spot check resulted in charges of Possession of Narcotics being laid against a Sault Ste Marie resident. On October 13 a local resident was charged with operating a motor vehicle with no insur- ance. Continued page 7 ccee..
