PAGE 16 : TERRACE BAY NEWS OCTOBER 20, 1976 KUSIK-KAY VOWS EXCHANGED Blue and white was the colour scheme for a double ring ceremony of laureen Kusik, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Stan Kusik, Schreiber and David Kay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Key, Dorion. The wedding took place on August 28th at 4:00 pem. in Holy Angels Church with Rev, F. Meyer officia- ting and Christopher Borutski as altar boy. Jack Gordon, brother in law of the Bride was the organist. The Bride wore an original gown of polyester crepe with sheer full sleeves and an overlay of sheer on the bodice. Lace and hand appliqued flowers centered with brilliants oreated a design beginning at the top of the long buttoned cuffs and carried through on to the bodice of the dress below the fluted neckline and into the skirt and train. The train was edged with lace. A Juliet cap of lace and flowers held a three tiered veil and she carried a bouquet of yellow roses with babys breath. Matron of honour, Jewel Riley, cousin of the bride and bridesmaids Crystal Cordon, sister of the Bride, Neldine Mikus, cousin of the Bride, were gowned alike in blue floral A-line gowns featuring a v-neckline and long sleeves over which they wore long hooded plain blue polyester satin capes edged in white lace and carried nosegays of yellow shasta daisies. Dale Riley was best man and Jim Mikus and Conard Nichols were groomsmen. Joe Godin, Schreiber and Don Keatley, Dor- ion were ushers. The Bride's mother chose a pleated chiffon gown with bell sleeves edged with a ruffle of the same material in bright pink with white corsage. The (Groom's mother chose e& polyester knit gown with empire waist line, short sleeves, in mint green with a corsage of yellow roses, The wedding dinner was held in the Town Hall with Ed Borutski as Master of Ceremonies proposing a toast to the Bride. Jim Mikus proposed a toast to the bridesmaids. The wedding cake was made and decorated by the Bride's godmother, Mrs, Freda Duggan, who also acted as dining room hostess, The Reception in the evening was held in the High School auditorium with music provided by Northern Lights Band of Dorion. A buffat luncheon was served by hostesses Mrs, M, Walsh, S. Krystia, I. Borutski and M, Dreke, The couple motored to the west coast for their honeymoon travelling in matching suits of blue polyester with matching shirt and blouse in blue, navy and grey abstract pattern. The Bride wore a white rose corsage and the Groom a white ° boutonierre, Prior to the wedding the bride was the guest of honour at a shower hosted by Mrs, Ruth Poole, Terrace Bay, co-workers. at K.C. Expansion office, a community shower in Holy Angels Parish centre convened by Jewel Riley and Neldine Mikus and a shower in Dorion, A shower-stag was also held in their honour in Dorion. The Groom was feted at a stag in the Curling Rink, The rehearsal party was held by the groom's parents, Out of town guests included Mrs, Mary Kusik, Mr. and Mrs, D. Kusik and family, Mr. and Mrs, Jack Cordon, Mr. and Mrs. larry Kusik, Mr, and Mrs, H. Yaremko, Mr. and Mrs. C. Welch, Mr, and Mrs. J. Soltys, Mr, and Mrs. A. Soltys, Mr.. and Mrs, D. Oger, Mr, and Mrs. Dan Day, Mr. and Mrs, G. Collins, Mr. and Mrs, S. Marceno, Mr, and Mrs, R. Davidson all of Thunder Bay; Mr. and Mrs. M. Key, Mr. and Mrs, C. Nichols, Mr, and Mrs, D. Modin, Mr. Don Keatley, Patty Angeloff, Mr. and Mrs. R, Southon, Mr, and Mrs, J. Muttal from Dorion; Mr. and Mrs. E.H, Murray, Toronto; Mr. and Mrs. A. Davidson, Murray Davide son, Cathy Coti, Ottawa, Also attending were many friends from Dorion, Terrace Bay and Marathon. SCHOOL 'NEWS: Cont'd from pg. 13 ... presided with her panel of Jack be Nimble (Cathy Doig), Little Red Riding Hood (Terry Birch), Farmer in "the Dell (Erin Bourke), and Mickey Mouse (Bonny Bourguignon). All in all the initiation was a success. Most of the students and were left with a fond memory: that will live with them for the next coming years. Submitted by Maxine Holland.
