The resignations of Police Chief David Bar- nett, and Constable George Aulenback were re- ceived by Council. At a meeting held Saturday September 18th both resignations were accept- ed. A paving contract was received from W.L. Wardrope and Associates. It was discussed by the Councillors that the completion of paving would likely run into next year. The August report from the Building Inspecs tor was acknowledged. _ New Business included accounts for Payment: Township - $77,796.05, Hydro - $20,215.34, Library - $1,511.84, Recreation - $41,444.09. Bill Hanley explained any questionable amounts included in the various reports. When all ques -tions were satisfied all the accounts were approved for payment. The next item for discussion was by-law no. 285 - Transfer of Town Land to the Hospital. In its third reading the transfer of part of Lot 567 to the Hospital Board was passed. In the event that no new hospital is built the land would be returned to Terrace Bay. It was decided by Council to draft an infor- mation circular to all town residents explain- ing town by-laws and general local information.|. It was tentatively planned to distribute the circular with the Hydro Bill. Kimberly-Clark, in their plan to pave the Mill Road were interested to know if the Town would be prepared to pave their section of the same road. The plan was accepted subject to the provision of a 50% subsidy from the Prov- ince to help cover the cost. A break in at the Arena which resulted in the loss of the stereo.equipment was discussed next.
