The Annual Supper will take place on June 1st with a meeting to follow. MCBAIN: Suddenly on Tuesday, May 18, at the Brandon General Hospital, Chester Duncan (Ted) McBain died in his 70th year. Born in Shoal Lake, Manitoba, he was the fourth son of the late Angus and. Jennette McBain, pioneer settlers of the Strathclair district and charter members of the Baptist Church there. Mr. McBain is survived by two sisters and two brothers - Mrs. Henry Nordlin (Laura) of Brandon, Mrs. Charles Mundell (Eva) of Hamiota, Haddon McBain, Shoal Lake, and Boyd in Bran- don. He was predeceased by a brother Ranald in 1932. He will also be sadly missed by sev- eral nieces and nephews. During his lifetime Mr. McBain engaged in mining pursuits as a diamond driller and pros- pector in such widely scattered areas as Lab- rador,. Red Lake, Souix Lookout and Yellowknife. In more recent years he served as stationary engineer for Kimberly Clark Pulp Mills at Terrace Bay, Ontario. He retired in 1971 and since then had made his home in Brandon. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 22 at the Brockie Donovan Chapel with Rev. J.A.C. Barton of First Baptist Church officia- . ting. The schedule for the Travelcade is as follows: Saturday, May 29th 1:00 - 5:00 p.m., 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. Sunday, May 30th - 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Anyone interested in sports in general or any specific sport is encouraged to go through the Travelcade.
