APRIL 7, 1976 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 7 GUIDE AND BROWNIE NEWS: Cont'd Pam Jones, Song and Dance person for Guide and Brownie groups in Terrace Bay recently visited both packs to teach a dance and action song. The Brownies love visitors and were very enthusiastic with the songs and dance. They soon learned the stomping, clapping type dances that are geared to their age group. The Senior Guides are lucky to have two ladies in Terrace Bay interested in teaching crafts. Mrs. Linda Jerrett will be meeting with them on Tuesday evening at the Jones re- sidence to do a craft picture. Mrs. Isabel Delaronde will hold a short crocheting ses- sion at the Community Church on Wednesday ev- ening. : A few enquiries have been made by the new families who have recently arrived in Terrace Bay in regards to their girls joining Brownies and Guides. Brown Owl, Marilyn Saranpaa, Pack 1, has agreed to accept more girls now that she has more adult help. The age for Brownies is seven to ten years. The girls must be sev- en before December 31, 1975, The age for Guides is ten to fourteen years and they must be ten before December 31, 1975. Please con- tact Mrs. Saranpaa at 3645 for any enquiries. The Pack 2 Brownies, with leader, Barb Wise are working as a group on a "Friend to Birds" badge. The girls have to make a feed- er and are to observe five birds around Ter- race Bay for two or three months, then they will be tested. : LEGION MIXED BOWLING FINAL STATISTICS 1975 ~ 1976 The Legion Mixed Bowling for 1975-76 came to an end on April 2, with the Irish Regiment as Roll-off Champions. Bombardiers won the Runner-up Award. Bombardiers also captured the League Championship Award. Individual honours for the year were as follows: Ladies High Average - Dot Coupal, 204; Men's High Average ~- Ted Velanoff, 221; Ladies High Single - Y. Leclair, 296; Ladies High Single, w/hdcp - Y.
