Jerry Dupas, Recreation Co-Ordinator and Ollie Chapman, Chairman, presented the Recre- ation Budget to council. All councillors were present with Reeve Bray opening the meeting. The minutes of the previous meeting were passed. y Correspondence included: An invitation to attend the Official Opening of the Ontario Goverment Building in Thunder Bay, May I4th. Quetico Centre wrote advising membership is $I5.00 which was paid. From the Guides and Brownies requesting they be allowed to sell carnations and hold a cookie day. They also offered to take care of two flower beds in Centennial Park. A notice of meeting of the Ontario Cabinet to be held May I4th was received. The M.O.E. advised asbestos samples had been taken on April 28th from several points of Lake Superior. Terrace Bay was included in this sampling but no results were available to date. : : . Lakehead University requested financial aid to which the Township replies with $I00. Ontario Trucking wrote requesting they be notified of any problems concerning Trucks.
