NOVEMBER 6, I974 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 5 5 YEARS AGO - NOVEMBER 6, 1969: Seven Hour Black Out in Terrace Bay - Due to someone tak- ing pot shots at Hydro insulations Terrace Bay suffered a seven hour back out on Saturday. Terrace Bay Private Hospital was not affected as an emer- gency system is available at all times. Schreiber fared bett- er than Terrace Bay-es the failure only affected a circuit breeker and closures system supplying their power. On Saturday afternoon, October 25th, a good turnout of interested citizens witnessed a display of the newly acquir- ed Fire Truck put on by the members of the local Volunteer Fire Department. Prior to the actual display, Councillor Deve Desrosiers presented the keys to the two new trucks to.Fire Chief Vie Thorpe. Dunning died at a Thunder Bay Hospital on Wednesday, October 30th, I974. A.M. Dunning, of Schreiber, beloved hus- band of Evelyn Dunning. Rested at the K. McNally Funeral Home. Funeral services were held in the Funeral Home on Saturday, November 2nd. Interment was in the Schreiber Cemetery. Penny Caccamo of Schreiber was the winner of the Hospital Auxiliary afghan raffled at the Firemen's Ball. Thanks to all who helped sell tickets.
