Official Opening =~ continued The Reeve of Terrace Bay, Mr. Roy Bray officially welcomed everyone and the introduc- tions were capably handled by Mr. Lawrence Crawford. Keith Penner, M.P. Thunder Bay riding, brought greetings from Ottawa and Mr. J.C. Wig, Vice-President of Kimberly-Clark who was unable to attend sent best wishes for the suc- cess in the establishment of the Terrace Bay Home. Mr. Grant Puttock, Operations' Manager and Vice-President of Kimberly-Clark in Terr~ ace Bay attended the opening. Representing the Homes for the Aged Associ- ation was Mr. Dan O'Gorman, who is an execu- tive member of the Association. At this point, Mr. M. Vibert, Administrator presented Pinewood Court with their new wheel- chair bus which had been paid for with monies collected over a number of years by the Resi- dents' Council and the Auxiliary of Pinewood combined with the Provincial Government share. Wheelchair residents had been brought to the occasion on the new bus and everyone was in- vited to inspect it at their leisure. Mr. George DeLong, President of Pinewood Court's Residents' Council and Mrs. Daisy Hutchison, President of the Auxiliary, present -ed the keys for the bus to Activities Super- visor, Mrs. Ruby Owen who expressed the opin- ion that the bus would be well used and much enjoyed by our wheelchair residents attending the many activities of Pinewood Court. In his introduction of the Honourable Rene Brunelle; the area representative, Mr. Jack Stokes, M.P.P. praised the Ministry for their work in the area and particularly with regard to the Terrace Bay Home. : Mr. Brunelle brought thanks from the Minis- try to Kimberly-Clark for their generous don- ation of the motel and praised all those res- ponsible for converting it into a Home for Senior Citizens. It was apropo, he said, that it should be opened officially, just prior to Senior Citizens' Week, June 16-22nd.
