NAME ATHLETES Mrs. Jean Crook, presiding for the meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch I09, on June 4th announced the names of four local athletes chosen for the auxiliary to sponsor at the Peace Gardens pro- gram - Rae Sisson, the only girl; Rainer James John Dye and Allan Zborowski. Mrs. Bobbi Winters volunteered to convene the food booth at the August Field Day, with Rina Ross, Brenda Harper, Daryl Lynn Davis, Chris Morris offering to assist. Mrs. Earline Johnson volunteered to act as Sports convener for the balance of the year, Mrs. Victoria Winters, a charter member, was presented with her 25 year membership pin - - her daughter Ida (Mrs. Gus Krause) given the pleasure of pinning it on. Mrs. Chris Morris was installed as warden and Mrs. Daryl Lynn Davis as assistant warden. A vote of appreciation was given to Mrs. Maureen Costall retiring warden. Mrs. Morris reported 76 members in good standing and two resignations. The Recreation Committee sent information on a proposed 'learn-to-swim' class for adults to be held 2 evenings each week at White Sand Lake, if enough names are registered. It was agreed that in future the secretary should be given a list of supplies ordered for Field Day, and the result of too much or too little noted - these would come from the var- ious conveners. ; The usual popular Field Day Draw will be held. Mrs. Rina Ross reported $559.75 had been collected for the Salvation Army appeal. Mrs. Lil Parent, Mrs. Alice Potvin and Mrs. Avila Richardson were named September lunch hostesses. : Recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Lidkea were Mr. and Mrs. Allan Turner of McKenzie, B.C.; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Lafrance, of Timmins, and Mrs. Carl Wood and son Robbie of Prince Rupert, B.C. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Mclsaac, have returned to Toronto after visiting Mr. and Mrs. Earl Glad. Women of the Moose =~ continued Installation of officers will be held on June 22 with a dance to follow, music by Sound Investment. Raffle was won by Mary Ihnatko. Following the meeting lunch was served by Jacqueline Sop- el, Sadie Benko and Stella Sadowick.
