PUBLIC NOTICE RECREATION MEMBERSHIP RATE INCREASE EFFECTIVE MAY Ist, I974, THE PRESENT $I.00 PER MONTH RECREATION MEMBERSHIP RATE WILL BE INCREASED FROM $I.00 PER MONTH TO $2.00 PER MONTH OR $24.00 FOR THE YEAR. ALL THOSE PAYING THE PRESENT $2.00 PER MONTH WILL NOT HAVE ANY CHANGE TO THEIR MEMBERSHIP RATE. It should be pointed out that no increase in the Recreation membership has taken place since the system began in I956. The $2.00 per month Swim Pool membership was established in 1963 to offset the cost of constructing and maintaining the swim pool facility for the community. It is obvious to note that since 1956, costs for maintaining our recreational facilities have drastically increased. This change in membership rate will result in a "one only" comprehensive recreation membership system at $2. 00 per month or $24.00 per year as opposed to the present two-rate membership system. s The "one only" comprehensive membership rate will entitle families and individuals to the use of all facilities including the swim pool. It should be noted, however, that extra registration fees are payable depending on the nature of the programme (i.e., registration fees for minor hockey, figure skating, etc.). IF YOU ARE PRESENTLY PAYING THE $I.00 PER MONTH RECREATION MEMBERSHIP THROUGH THE RECREATION OFFICE, PLEASE CONTACT THE RECREATION OFFICE BY TUESDAY, APRIL 30TH, BEFORE 5:00 P.M., ADVISING WHETHER YOU WISH TO CONTINUE YOUR MEMBERSHIP AT THE NEW RATE OF $2.00 PER MONTH OR DISCONTINUE YOUR MEMBERSHIP. EMPLOYEES OF KIMBERLY-CLARK PAYING BY PAYROLL DEDUCTION HAVE ALREADY BEEN NOTIFIED THROUGH THE MILL OF THEIR PROCEDURE.
