The Devotional period was taken by Mrs. Nettie Thrower and Mrs. L. Christie. Mrs. R. Macadam Pres., presided for the meeting. Mrs. Thrower, treasurer, gave the financi- al report and Mrs. Christie acted as secre- tary in the absence of Bern Whent. Mrs. Margaret Spillane card secretary, reported having sent 16 cards for the month of March. Mrs. R. Macadam gave the Official Board report. Mrs. W. Clemens, secretary read a PAGE II letter from the Bible Society, Rev. Magee will shortly be making his annual visitation to this area. This year the meeting with Rev. Magee will be held in St. John's Angli- can Church. An invitation from the Anglican Church Women to join with them on Tuesday, May I3th was received when it is expected films and literature of the Canadian Bible Society will be observed. The Superial Presbytery Stewardship and Information Event has been set for the afternoon of April 30th at Nipigon United Church. Registration and lunch will be from I2:I5 to I:I5 p.m. The program will begin at I:I5 p.m. ending about 4 p.m. Anyone wishing to attend please contact Mrs. Macadam at your earliest conveni- ence. VISIT TO FRANCE The Ministry of Education is seeking 24 young people to take part in a three week visit to France in June. The Ministrys Educational Exchange and special projects branch will pay the groups air fare from Montreal tc Paris. While in France they will be the guests of the French Government and will be billeted in private homes and youth hostels. Visiting across the country they will observe first hand the cultural economic and political aspects of France. Applicants must be between I8 and 25 years of age and have a good command of spoken French. They also must have been active in community affairs. The applicants will be selected from across Ontario and will repre- sent the academic business technical and agricultural interests. - Application forms are available from cul- tural exchange programs, Ministry of Education I5th Floor, Mowart Block$ Toronto M7A ILS. The forms must be completed and returned by May 3rd. In August a group of 24 French visitors will arrive in Ontario to complete the exchan- ge program. Applicants should write in for the forms preferably in French.
