TERRACE BAY NEWS JANUARY 9, I974 RECREATION NEWS > UPHOLSTERY COURSES: The Terrace Bay Recreation Department will be sponsoring an afternoon and evening uphol- stery course. Both courses are limited to IO people only and cost for the course will be $7.C0 for Recreation members and $I0.00 for non-members. The afternoon course will be held from January 2Ist to January 25th from I:C00 to 4:00 every afternoon in the large meeting room of the Recreation Centre. The evening course will take place from January 28th to February Ist from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the large meeting room of the Recrea- tion Centre. Instructor for the courses will be Mrs. Eva Connors. Materials for the courses are extra and are available from the instructor. Anyone wishing to register for the uphols- tery courses must make payment of their regis- traticn fee on or before January I6th. Regis- tration will take place on a 'first come, fir- st served' basis at the Recreation Office. AMATEUR PICTURE TAKING COURSE: In conjunction with Confederation College, the Terrace Bay Recreation Department will be holding an amateur picture taking course. All those who registered have keen contacted by phone to make payment for the course. It is hoped that this particular programme will be able to start on Wednesday, January I6th. HOME HOCKEY GAMES: Home hockey games for the next week are as follows > Friday, January IIth - Intermediates - Schreiber at Terrace Bay. Game time 8 p.m. sunday, January I3th - North Shore Minor Hock- ey - Marathon at Terrace Bay. Major Peewees I p.m.; Bantams 2:I5 p.m. WINTER CARNIVAL MEETING TONIGHT: Please refer to page II for an advertisement] outlining the Winter Carnival Planning Commit- tee meeting to be held on January 9th. It would be appreciated if representatives of all groups who have indicated a willingness to participate in the Carnival would plan to attend this first meeting for I974. Strange Animal?
