JANUARY 9, I974 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE I3 Appointment = continued is superintendent of only one board. Mr. Matys has been providing supervisory services for these five boards since Septemb- er, I97I. From I97I to the present he has been in the employ of the Lakehead R.C.S.S. Board, which sold supervisory services to the boards, but he will now be employed directly by the boards. The services of a Financial Administrator, Mr. William Giciuk, and a sec- retardy, Mrs. June Seabrook, are also shared by these five boards. These sharing arrangements developed over the past three years, have required a high degree of co-operation and imaginative probl- em solving by the five boards in setting these precedents in Ontario education. These unique solutions to the problems of securing a full range of services in remote northern Ontario boards is being watched with interest by many. Offices suggests adoption of similar types of co-operative efforts and sharing for other school boards in the province.
