WOMEN OF THE MOOSE MEETING Senior Regent, Jacqueline Sopel presided at the regular meeting of the Women of the Moose Chapter I426 held on September 26th. Minutes of the last meeting and treasurer's report were adopted as ready by Stella Sadowi- ck. A letter was read from Joan Belliveau accep -ting the members to cater to her wedding on December 22nd. Members agreed to cater to the Kimberly Clark Quarter Century Club banquet to be held November 8th. Loyal Order of the Moose I752 will be hold- ing an Octoberfest night on October 20th with live music for dancing and food prepared by the ladies. Members were in favour of sending Sadie Benko to Niagara Falls to attend the Moose Convention to be held on November 5th, 6th & 7th. The next meeting to be held on October 3rd with members being reminded to bring their ar- ticles for the penny auction which will be held on Sunday, October 7th. Lovely lunch was served by Alma MacDonald, Dorothy Kenny, Mary Ihnatko and Clara Gould. SCHREIBER TOWN TOPICS Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Christie have returned home to Yellowknife, N.W.T. after visiting Mr. and Mrs. Kevin O'Brien =- their daughter Barb. Clover Dukes, winner of the Royal Canadian A, has entered McMaster University. A total of $1350.00 was awarded to Northwestern Ontar- io students. Mr. and Mrs. Frank McCuaig and Rick McCuaig of Capreol were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lester McCuaig this week. Mr. and Mrs. George Legault of Montreal are visiting Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Bryson and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bryson. George Gibson, Sales Manager for Heintzman and Co. Don Mills, Ont. was in Schreiber on business last week, at the request of Arnold Almos, local representative.
