A corn roast was held Thursday night at Jackfish Lake for the I0-I4 year olds and turn- ed out to be a big success. After a bus ride out to the lake and a swim, everyone including Sam Ballentine, who said he never ate corn un- less it was boiled in water, managed to polish off eight dozen ears of corn roasted right ov- er the fire. Friday morning, the 5 and 6 year olds walk- ed over to Mr. and Mrs. Farrow's beautiful gar den to see the flowers and the fish pond. No one dare leave their fingers dangling in the cool water for fear of having their hand sque- ezed by Jamie Figliomeni, who was pretending to be an alligator! The children were fascin- ated by the flowers and the little statues in the garden -and would like to thank Mrs. Farrow very much for showing them her garden. Friday evening, the 7-9 year old boys went fishing at the mouth of the river.
