All Terrace Bay and area citizens are invited to visit the display and talk or question the two information representatives. HOSPITAL BOARD MEETING The McCausland Hospital Board of Governors held a regular meeting on June 25, I973 with all members present. The chairman of each of the Standing Committees read the minutes of th- eir last meeting which included the objectives for the year. The objectives were approved by the full Board and will be consolidated into one report for distribution to members. Rena McAdam reported on the recent meeting with Dr. Pickersgill and her senior staff from the Thunder Bay District Health Unit. The Board was advised to contact Dr. Dainard in Thunder Bay regarding information on Home Care Programs. The Administrator was asked to obtain a written committment from the Board of Pinewood. Court regarding continued supply of heat for the hospital from Birchwood Terrace. In addi- tion, progress reports regarding the heating plant renovations will also be requested. V. Mazzone announced the approval of the I973 Operating Budget from the Ministry of Health. The total budget for in-patient ser- vices is $22,300 and the daily standard ward rate is $55.80. The Township of Terrace Bay has appointed Reeve W.R. Bray as their representative to the Board. The Township of Schreiber has invited Dorothy Rummery from the Board to attend any future meetings regarding the planning of a medical centre in Schreiber. The Ruby Rebekah Lodge No. 279 from Schreiber will donate funds for the purchase of a stainless steel crib for the children's ward. Dr. Adey reported the receipt of an Applica- tion for Appointment to the Medical Staff from Dr. M. Spacek, Ormstown, Quebec. This appli- cation and reference letters will be forwarded to the Credentials Committee for their recom- mendations to the Board. Beth MacAdam stated that 20 members attended the last Auxiliary meeting in Rossport. The Auxiliary has agreed to purchase a stainless steel crib and double basin stand. They will hold no further meetings until September but volunteer services will continue as usual.
