JUNE 27, 1973 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 5 SERVICES HELD FOR CONLEY MACDONALD Funeral Services for Conley Hugh MacDonald, 59, who passed away at home on June I6th, were held at St. Martin of Tours on June I9th Father A. Greengrass offici- ated. Mr. MacDonald was born in Webbwood, Ont. and had work- ed at the Kimberly-Clark mill for 25 years as a machine tender, taking an early retirement in January of this year due to ill 'health. He is survived by his : wife Alma, three daughters, Brenda (Mrs. Bob Campbell), Schreiber; Dorothy (Mrs. Joey Kenney), Terrace Bay; Sharon of Kitchener, two sons, Michael and Jon, Terrace Bay, two sisters, Mrs. Paul Kuzyk and Mrs. Leonard Plourde of Terrace Bay and two brothers Melvyn and Harvey, St. Catherines; eleven grandchildren also survive. Active pall bearers were John Santerre, Ken McLeod, Garnett Pinkerton, Paul Malashewski, Ted Brown and Jim Garriock. Honorary pall bearers from the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 223 of which Mr. MacDonald was a member were Alphonse Theriault, Paul Coupal, Cy Marcella, Harry Gusul, Pat Jones and Forbes Cruickshank. Attending the service from out of town were Mrs. Rose Laderaute, Webbwood, Ont.; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Toderoute, Mr. Albert Laderaute, Mr. Lloyd O'Connor, Mrs. Ivy Rantinen, Mr. and Mrs. M. Vitme, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kemmer, Seedburg. and Sharon MacDonald of Kitchener. Mr. and Mrs. R. Beaulieu and David have re- turned from Delhousie, N.B. visiting with Mrs. Beaulieu's sisters Alice and Joan Gendron and Mrs. E. Carter her mother; and in Kapaskasing visiting with Mr. Beaulieu's mother and father, FASTBALL TOURNAMENT THIS WEEKEND The Schreiber Fastball League will hold its 3rd annual tournament this weekend. The first game starts Saturday morning with Marathon against Heron Bay. In the second game one of the tournaments most interesting matches from a fans stand- point takes place. At IO a.m. pitcher Dick Mannisto leads Mayfair Hotel of Schreiber again -st International Hotel of Nipigon. Don Neil- son sponsors the Schreiber Club and his broth- er Ray sponsors the team from Nipigon. There's rumored to be lots of money riding on this match. It should be a dandy. Don't miss it! Veteran Harvey Dunville leads Red Rock against Klomp Wakefield in the third game. Pre-tournament favourites Gunnar Vinters Realtors play Murrilo Muddens next.
