Miss Maxine Hubelit visited relatives in Thunder Bay over the weekend. ALTAR SOCIETY MEETS Mrs. Eugene Gerow president of the .St. Berchman's Altar Society, conducted the regular monthly meeting Thursday evening at Mrs. Todesco's home. Highlight of the meeting was hearing the reports of the president and treas- urer on the past years activities show- ing the various projects of the group. Several articles of sewing and nov- elties were turned in for the June Pen- ny Auction and sale. Flowers are to be ordered for the grotto and shrubs and rose bushes for the church grounds. It was noted that fourteen get well and sympathy cards were mailed during the year. Mrs. Bill Hubelit turned in the pen- ny auction tickets and a report was heard on how many draw tickets are av- ailable. Arrangements were made for the care of the church lawn and shrubs during the summer months and for the annual spring cleaning of the church. Following adjournment lunch was ser- ved by Mrs. Todesco and a social hour enjoyed. Mrs. Herb Legault invited the ladies to her home for the June meeting. The Union Church Ladies Auxiliary held their Annual Mother's Day penny auction and tea in the community hall Sunday evening with a large crowd attending. Many prizes were offered for auction. Mrs. Edith Ibey and Mrs. C. Henderson took admission while Mrs. Eugene Legault sold the bazaar articles and books. Mrs. C. Wilde, Mrs. S.
