The Judge apparently taking pity on the offenders gave them an undisclosed amount of money from his pocket. No restitution was ordered for damage to Mr. Moon's premises. Also appearing before Judge Cunningham, on Wednesday, was Susan Turner, I8 years of Victoria, B.C. She entered a guilty plea to stealing bed linen from the Imperial Motel, Terrace Bay. A fine of $I5. was imposed. She also entered a guilty plea to being in possession of narcotic drugs and was given a three months suspended sentence on this charge. Citizens are reminded that there is a minimum fine of $25.00 for allowing their dogs to run at large within the Township. CURLING CLUB WIND-UP The Terrace Bay Annual Curling Club banquet] and dance was held Friday, May llth in the Moose Hall with the Women of the Moose cater- ing to a most enjoyable dinner. Retiring President, Jim Rogers was M.C. for the evening and began by introducing Mr. Dick Buckley who gave the Grace. Head table guests were introduced and included Mr. and Mrs. Len Crockford, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dunwoody, Mr. Gordon McMorland, (Marathon), Mr. and Mrs. George Riley (Schrei- ber), Mr. and Mrs. Hal Lawson (Marathon), Mr. and Mrs. Dick Buckley, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Desrosiers, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bray, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Puttock, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Chapman, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Rogers and Mrs. Green (Marathon). Mrs. Ollie Chapman, Ladies Club President, introduced last years executive and continu- ing her position for another year introduced the 1973-73 executive of S. Caron, E. Zwir, J. Mercier, N. Crockford, B.:Hopper, Ja. Nolan, S. Richards, I. Romanuk and B. Randa. Reeve Roy Bray brought congratulations on behalf of the Township to the Curling Club for the fine effort they had put forward in making their year a most successful one. The prizes awarded follow in pictures with the runners-up being listed. The Kimberly-Clark Trophy awarded to J. Chapman, R. Beaulieu, J. Szpak and J. McEwen was presented by Mr. Grant Puttock and we are sincerely regretful that this photo did not turn out. Runners up for this trophy were - G. Dupas, D. Josus, G. Capar, and J. Gunter.
