"We see our program as being a cataly- st," says Mr. Llewellyn, "and not as THE sole agency to tackle all adoles- cent problems." Their research has indicated that Thunder Bay requires a co-ordinated service designed specif- ically for its adolescent group-one which will include persons from all walks of life. "We'd like to see par- ent groups, agency personnel and inter- ested individuals become directly in- volved with the program," he said. "We believe that Thunder Bay residents must begin to realize that general problems in the community are sometim- es reflected in its adolescents." Tre first step towards this type of involvement will be taken within the next few weeks as volunteers begin wcrking with a group of younger ACCESS participants in a recreational therapy program.
