MAY 2, I973 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 9 THE AUXILIARY TO THE MCCAUSLAND HOSPITAL The April meeting was held in Schreiber with fifteen members attending. Correspondence included an invoice for the Portable Examination Light recently donated to the hospital. The Auxiliary received a phone call from Mae MacLeod saying how please they were with the light. The Auxiliary is now in the process of buying Drug Cabinets for the Outpatients Department. Arrangements are being made with the high school fer the construction of a new cart for the Tuck Shop. Approval must be given by the Hospital Board after details and designs have been received. A bingo will be held in May in observance of Hospital Week. Spadoni's Garage said they will take all the rags the auxiliary can supply. These should be 24" square. The Auxiliary is planning a dance for September in Schreiber. Also, watch for de- tails on an upcoming Penny Auction and Flea Market. Another fund raising venture will be the sale of "Gateway Cleaning for the Homemaker". Local advertisers will be sought to support this venture. The next meeting of the Auxiliary will be May 2Ist. April was campaign month for the Canadian Cancer Society. The canvassers were very busy and the result so far have been very good. If you have not been canvassed and wish to donate please phone 825-3241.
