MARCH 21, :1973 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 5 SCOTT-OLSEN VOWS EXCHANGED Pink carnations graced the altar of the Community Church on February 24th, at 4 p.m. when Kristine Olsen and Thomas James Scott were united in Holy Matrimony. Reverend Peter McKague officiated at the double ring ceremony Mrs. M. Simmer was the organist, and the solo- ist was Mrs. Margaret Ann Hardy, who sang "Someone, Somewhere" and Romeo and Juliet from Love Story, during the signing of the register. Kristine, now residing in Winnipeg, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thor Olsen, of Nacka- wic, N.B., all former residents of Terrace Bay. Jim Scott, of Winnipeg, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Scott, of Kenora. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in Imported white Organza, floor length, with the Empire waist enhanced by criss-cross Lattice-work, which was repeated in the Rennaissance sleeves. The bodice had a V-neck, outlined in a wide ruffle. The A- line skirt fell softly to the floor, with a matching ruffle at the hem, and featuring a train. Her headpiece was a cluster or Organza flowers, holding a two tier silk illusion fingertip veil and she carried a bouquet of pink roses and Lily of the Valley. Mrs. Linda Nesbitt, of Schreiber was the Matron of Honour, Mrs. Lulu Ricci, of Atikokan was the Bridesmaid. They wore identical gowns of Mint Green Polyester Crepe, floor length, high neckline with stand-up collar, empire waist, with half belt at back and soft A-line skirt. They carried white velvet muffs, with a Mint Green Carnation and matching ribbons. Their flowered headdress complimented their outfits. The best man was Jack Gustafson, of Dryden and the usher was the bride's brother, Ray Olsen of Schumacher. For a reception at the Moose Hall, the Bride's mother received wearing a shocking pink Polyester Knit, with bateau neckline, shirred waistline, featuring an antique silver Medallion, long slim sleeves and a flared skirt. With this she wore a pink rosebud cor- sage, tan shoes and purse. Mrs. Scott, mother of the groom, also received, wearing an Azure blue dress, with jewel neckline, lace insert at the waist, a pink rosebud corsage and black accessories. Mrs. D. Rafalant was Dining Room Hostess. Mr. Ed Kennedy was Master of Ceremonies and Mr. Jon Ferguson, a former teacher of Kristine's, gave a charming toast to the Bride. The head table was adorned with pink and white candles in a crystal candelabra. The bride and groom were presented with two crystal goblets by her Mother and Father. .
