MARCH I4, I973 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 7 RECREATION NEWS Northwestern Ontario Crafts Conference March I6th - I8th: The Recreation Office has received notice that a conference geared spec- ifically for craftsmen in Northwestern Ontario in Quetico Centre from March I6éth to I8th. The number of partici- pants is limited to 40; therefore, any one in the community of Terrace Bay who would be interested in attending should inform the Recreation Office immediately. Funds for participation have been made available by the Youth and Recreation Branch of the Ministry of Community and Social Services. Only the cost of travel is the respon- sibility of the participant and/or the sponsoring group. Persons interested in attending the conference should be actively engaged in craft activities (woodworking, leather craft, copper tooling, etc.) concerned about the craft development and involvement of this kind of per- sonal expression, and be prepared to work at the conference and afterwards. If you require additional informa- tion, contact the Recreation Office at 825-3542, Ringette Teams Do Well: For the second time this season, Terrace Bay Junior and Senior Ring- ette teams have competed with Red Rock. This past weekend saw the Terrace Bay Jun- iors and the Terr- ace Bay Seniors win their respec- tive games by a score of 2-I and 0-4, A great deal of thanks is ex- tended to Mrs. June Schritt for convening the lunch following the games. To all of the mothers who contributed to -wards the lunch, our thanks. It is hoped that further exhibition games will be arranged with other . towns prior to the end of the ice season. Terrace Bay Intermediates: If necessary, the third and final game of the semi-finals between Heron Bay and Terrace Bay will be played this Friday, March 16th .at .8:00 p.m, The second game of this series is scheduled for tonight, Wednesday, March I4th, in Marathon. It is hoped that the Intermediates will win this game, forcing the third and final game on Friday, March I6éth. Watch for posters around town concerning this game.
