TERRACE BAY "SUPERIORS" NEWS The Terrace Bay Superiors, after losing last Thursday night to Marathon, bounced back on Sunday to defeat the Manitouwadge Copper Kings. The Superiors went down to defeat against the Mercs by a score of 10-4. The Superiors have experienced much difficulty this year against the Marathon team with only one win thus far against that club. Marksmen in that game for the Superiors were Jack O'Javee, Ed Zwaresh, Dale Randa and Ron Zwaresh. O0'Javee also picked up two assists. Dale Randa emerged as the hero of Sunday's game with a hat trick and an assist to pick up four big points. Rick Hamilton earned five points with a goal and four assists. Other Terrace Bay goals went to Jack O'Javee who scored twice and singles notched by Ed Zwaresh, Bevin Schritt and defenseman Clarence Yates. Yates, who played an outstanding game Sunday may double Tuesday in Marathon as a centreman to replace O'Javee who was replacing Mark Dash- kewytch on the Teddy Bear Line. Dashkewytch is suffering from an ankle in- jury sustained Feb. 4 in a Manitouwadge game. That loss was compensated with 0'Javee but the burly number I7 received a badly damaged arm in this week's game. He will be wearing a cast for a few days and is a doubtful starter in Tuesday's game in Marathon. The other two Teddy Bear Linesmen, Bevin Schritt and Ron Zwaresh will find themselves having to adopt to a new centreman until Dash- kewytch is back on the fitness list. Next Superiors home game will be an exhibi- tion match February 20th against the Schreiber North Stars. Miss Valerie Larson has been chosen by the Lake Superior High School to represent them in the upcoming Carnival Queen Contest. Good luck to you, Valerie. I9734% :
