Mrs. Harris agreed to con- TO TERRACE BAY ji vene this banquet the Moose Hall in March. Mr. Bill Jones suggested to the Auxiliary that he would paint the kitchen, in the Church Hall, providing the ladies would choose the appropriate colours. We are very grateful to Mr. Jones for his efforts in this project. Mrs. Lundberg thanked Mrs. Mercure, Proper- ty Convener, and all those who had assisted her in cleaning the kitchen. Mrs. C. Ropchan has membership cards avail- able. Mrs. McKague, who was unable to be present, sent word that continued baby care would take place in the nursery, if needed during Church services, and requested that anyone who offer- ed their services in this respect should take it for two consecutive Sundays. A motion was passed to give Mrs. H. Hiebert a cheque to purchase wool for knitted articles for the Christmas bazaar. A motion was passed to present the Board of Stewards with a cheque for $500.00 toward current expenses. Mrs. C. Ropchan and Mrs. P. Thompson agreed to bring lunch to the March meeting. Lunch wag also, which will be held in served by Mrs. M. Costall and her committee. On Friday evening, February 23rd, Terrace Bay will be treated to some of the finest had- entaffbunder Bay has to offer. Some of these musicians have played here before with 'Sum- mer Sounds '72'. For those of us who enjoyed that show on August IO that thrilled the aud- ience with it's great variety and display of talent will come the chance to examine a part of Summer Sounds more deeply: Don Jewitt, I9, returned home to Thunder Bay in September after Summersounds ended and made his living teach- ing music and playing in coffee houses. His talent as displayed on guitar and organ during the summer amazed audiences at the National Art Centre, Ontario Place and at 40 other locations around the province. He often teams up with John Dolce, 20 who plays guitar and writes his own music. John was also a member of Summer Sounds but never played in Terrace Bay because he was a part of the other tour which covered north eastern Ontario as the same time as the tour we saw was here. Rod Brown, I8, intends to be a professional musician once he is finished his grade I3 and continued page II..... ovis INFANTS PLAY SETS I and 2 Pc.
